CHAKWAL: The Wapda employees Wednesday took out a big protest rally against the privatization plan of Wapda.
The employees of Danda Shah Bilawal, Talagang, Pind Dadan Khan, Kallar Kahar, Choa Saidan Shah and Dhudial attended the rally.
They were carrying banners and placards and were raising slogans against the government.
The rally started from Wapda circle office and the participants marched on the various roads of the city. It was led by circle union chairman Shafiq ul Rehman and secretary general Abdul Qayyum Tanoli.
The participants staged a sit-in outside the residences of the PML-N MNA and MPA.
A resolution was also passed unanimously demanding the government withdraw the policy of privatisation of Wapda.
