PO killed by accomplices’ firing

BAHAWALPUR: A proclaimed offender was killed by the firing of his accomplices when they tried to get him released from police custody in Yazman police limits on Tuesday night.
According to police, proclaimed offender Rasheed alias Mona was being taken for recovery of weapons used in murders when his four accomplices opened fire on a police van to get him released. As a result, the PO was killed on the spot. According to police, the killed PO was involved in many crimes.
PRISONER HANGED: A condemned prisoner was executed in the New Central Jail here on Wednesday.
Khadim had gunned down two brothers on February 1999 in Cantonment police limits. He was awarded death sentence by the district and sessions judge on April 19, 2003.
