CHARSADDA: Member National Assembly (MNA) from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam F-Maulana Syed Gohar Shah on Monday asked the government to cancel the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) cards and conduct fresh survey. Talking to reporters at a blood donation camp at the Darul Uloom Islamia here, he alleged that undeserving beneficiaries of BISP were causing Rs100 billion loss to the exchequer. “Undeserving people are exploiting the BISP and are causing loss to the national kitty,” he claimed. The MNA asked the government to cancel the BISP cards and issue new ones after a transparent survey to provide relief to the needy people. He demanded action against the undeserving beneficiaries of the BISP, saying that these people should face trial on fraud charges.
