Man burnt alive by father, 3 brothers

GUJRANWALA: A man was burnt alive by his father and three brothers over a property dispute here on Saturday.
Iftikhar had a property dispute with his father accused Abdul Rashid and three brothers, Imtiaz, Arshad and Nasir. On the day of the incident, Iftikhar’s father and brothers threw petrol on him and allegedly burnt him alive. As a result, he was seriously injured and rushed to a Lahore hospital due to critical condition. Khiali police have registered a case.
SECURITY MEASURES FOR LG POLLS: The district police have taken all precautionary measures to maintain law and order during the upcoming Local Government elections here.
Ion this connection, the police have so far recovered 125 illegal weapons including 20 Kalashnikovs from different candidates and their supporters after registering cases against them. The police department’s spokesman told that there was a strict ban on carrying and displaying arms and no one would be allowed to violate this ban at any cost.
