Diabetes is the mother of all diseases which destroys the human body silently.
The danger of diabetes can be avoided only by spreading maximum awareness among the masses about timely diagnose and preventive measures against it. This was stated by Prof. Khalid Mahmood, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital, and other medical experts on World Diabetes Day during an awareness walk held at LGH, according to a press release issued here on Saturday. The walk was largely attended by general masses, nurses, doctors, faculty members and special arrival of renowned artist Suhail Ahmed Azizi. A free medical camp was also conducted where a large number of people got their tests free of cost.
Nurses raised banners and posters reflecting slogans and preventive measures against diabetes. Prof. Khalid Mahmood said that such walks play important role in the process of informing people to be alert from diabetes. —Correspondent
