GUJRANWALA: The Punjab Home department Friday imposed the Section 144 in the province to maintain law and order during the 2nd phase of the local government polls.
DRO Gujranwala Rafaqat Ali Naswana told reporters that aerial firing, display of weapons, use of loudspeakers in public gathering and political rallies and meetings will be completely banned until November 19.
He said a strict action would be taken against violators. He said camps with 300 meters of polling stations will not be allowed and gathering of more than five people outside the polling stations would not be allowed.
