KARACHI: Four Indian players are participating in the 4th Karachi Club Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championship which will be held at Karachi Club from November 21-27.
Gurdarshan Singh Ramana is seeded fifth in 45-plus age category.
In the 55-plus category, Naresh Khatri is the top seed; Kishore Choudhary is the second seed; and Poonacha Kaliyanda is the fourth seed.
Players can pull out of the tournament by November 13 (today).
There are only four age categories, 35, 45, 55, and 60, in both singles and doubles events.
Sindh Tennis Association (STA) is providing free board and lodging to all overseas participants.
“We are trying to arrange visas for the foreign players,” said Khalid Rehmani, the referee of the event. “All the players who participated in the Lahore event had gone back to India, so they need visas again to participate in the Karachi event,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention that some Indian players failed to get visas for the World Ranking Tennis Championship which was held in Lahore last week.
