Central leader of PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz has said the people have expressed their complete confidence in the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-N in the first phase of the Local Government elections and these elections have authenticated the results of general elections 2013.
He said the PML-N is an organised political party and it is compulsory for all to abide by the party decisions. He said the grouping of any kind in the party will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken on violating party discipline.
He stated this while addressing Members of National and Provincial Assemblies belonging to 12 districts of the first phase of Local Govenment elections through video link on Thursday.
Hamza said the Local Governments' board will decide the candidates for the election of mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and vice-chairmen of District Councils and chairmen and vice-chairmen of Municipal Corporations for the next step of the first phase of the elections held in 12 districts of Punjab and forms for the offices of mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen, vice-chairmen of District Councils and chairmen and vice- chairmen of Municipal Corporation can be downloaded from the website and facebook of Pakistan Muslim League-N. He said forms can also be available from the office of the PML-N situated at New Muslim Town from November 13 and last date for submitting forms is November 20 while forms for reserved seats of Municipal Corporation, District Council and Municipal Committee of 12 districts can also be submitted by November 20.
Hamza said committees set up at district level will decide the candidates for reserve seats of union councils.
