DC supervises security measures for polio teams
PESHAWAR: Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Khan Mahsud along with other staff and assistant commissioners visited different areas of Peshawar and supervised security measures taken for protection of polio teams in the provincial capital on Wednesday.A three-day anti-polio campaign has been launched from November 10 and will continue till November 13.

PESHAWAR: Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Khan Mahsud along with other staff and assistant commissioners visited different areas of Peshawar and supervised security measures taken for protection of polio teams in the provincial capital on Wednesday.
A three-day anti-polio campaign has been launched from November 10 and will continue till November 13. The deputy commissioner has already banned pillion riding during polio campaign in the district for security of the polio teams.
Besides the deputy commissioner, additional deputy commissioner Irshad Sudhar also visited different areas of Peshawar and supervised security measures as well as other arrangements made for smooth and peaceful polio drive in the provincial capital.
He directed members of the polio teams to utilise all the available resources so that no child could remain with polio vaccine. He also advised parents to administer polio drops to their children below five years of age and save them from the crippling polio virus forever.
