Human smuggler arrested

LAHORE
A team of Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of FIA Lahore on Wednesday conducted a raid near Hussain Chowk, Gulberg and arrested an alleged human smuggler from the place.
According to the FIA officials, the raiding team also recovered nine original Pakistani passports, large number of fake South African visas, copies of CNICs and passports from his custody. The alleged human smuggler was identified as Arman Shakoor Masih.
The FIA officials claimed that he was involved in sending people to South Africa. An FIR has been registered against him.
Meanwhile, another FIA Lahore team comprising Muhammad Ishfaq, Shafqat Jabbar conducted a raid at Ahmed Cosmetics at Shah Alam Markete and arrested a person namely Salman Shah who was allegedly found involved in illegal business of Hundi Hawala.
The FIA claimed to have recovered Rs737,000, register/regarding Hundi/Hawala,cheque books, mobile phone and laptop, visiting cards, etc from his possession. A case has also been registered against him.
dacoits arrested: CIA City police Wednesday claimed to have arrested eight members of inter-district Sa’een dacoit gang and recovered booty and weapons from them.
CIA City DSP Khalid Abubakar headed a special police team which collected particulars of the gang members. Police team managed to arrest ringleader Afzal alias Sa’een and his seven accomplices Ghufran, Saqib Ali, Aslam, Mudassar Ali, Shoban, Hanif and Sajid. Police recovered Rs 1.68 million in cash, gold ornaments and illegal weapons from them.
SSP Investigations Umar Riaz Cheema has announced cash prize and commendatory certificates for the police team.
