Woman attempts suicide From Our Correspondent DASKA: A married woman Monday attempted suicide in the area of city police. The woman exchanged harsh words with her family members over a domestic issue and ingested poisonous pills. She was shifted to civil hospital in a critical condition. ANTI-POLIO DRIVE BEGINS: The anti-polio drive began in tehsil Daska. Local MPA Asif Bajawa administered polio drops to a child in Pasrur bypass. Talking to reporters, DDHO Dr Latif Ahmed Sahi said the drive would continue for three days. He said 241 teams will go door to door and would administer drops to 142,490 children. VALUABLES SNATCHED: Dacoits Monday snatched valuables and vehicles from locals in different incidents. Ilyas was heading home form Daska and was intercepted by dacoits. The robbers took away cash, a cellphone and a motorcycle. Saleem parked his car outside an outhouse and found the vehicle missing when he came back.
