PESHAWAR: The four-day anti-polio campaign would be launched in the federally administered tribal areas (Fata) and Frontier Regions (FRs) from November 10 to 13. In the security compromised areas of Khyber Agency (Jamrud & Bara), North Waziristan Agency, and FR Bannu (Bakakhail, Janikhail, Hindikhail and Sintanga), Continuous Community Protected Vaccination (CCPV) approach will be adopted. Teams comprising 634 local members will be vaccinating children for 5 days and will vaccinate missed children for another 2 days. A press release of Fata Secretariat said that 3,168 teams would administer anti-polio drops to 951,308 children below the age of five years in Fata and FRs. Political agents, commissioners, para-military and military forces will be providing security to safeguard the campaign areas, the communiqué added.
