OKARA: A road safety workshop was arranged here by SSP National Highway & Motorway Police Dr Masroor Alam Kolachi.
District Coordination Officer Kaisar Saleem and the District Police Officer Muhammad Faisal Rana were the guests of honour.
The participants were told about hazards of overloading, reckless driving and dozing during driving.
Citizens belonging to different walks of life attended the moot.
The DCO and the DPO and other speakers stressed the importance of road safety.
He said the NH&MP would continue to spread the awareness to people at all costs.
BOOKED FOR IMPERSONATING: A man was booked on the court orders on charges on impersonating another man for witness.
In a case of Muhammad Ramzan in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Syed Azhar Ali, the court ordered the production of witness Ghulam Abbas son of Riaz. Iqbal did not appear in the court himself. Instead he sent Muhammad Iqbal to appear in the court impersonating him as Ghulam Abbas. When the court came to know about the whole situation, it ordered a case against Iqbal.
BOOKED FOR SELLING DEAD MEAT: A butcher was booked over selling dead meat.
The veterinary officer Dr Muhammad Faisal raided the shop of Zafar in village 56/AD where the butcher was selling dead and stinking meat.
