Metropolitan International University College (MIUC) students from all disciplines, including those pursuing the University of London, LLB Honors Programme had a meeting with the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar
Zaheer Jamali at the Supreme Court.
MIUC students visited one of the prevalent library, the auditorium and the Judicial Museum where they saw the time line of the judiciary at the Supreme Court.
The purpose of the meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan was to motivate, inspire, enthuse and enhance the knowledge & understanding of MIUC Law students. His courteous talk’ helped students to polish several of their attributes like building up a well commercial acumen, commitments and dedication to a legal career, analytical skills, logical thinking ability, motivation to persist the learning morale. He asked the students to be proactive in their student life not allowing anyone to avail their services for free even at the initial phase of their career. Advising the female students among the participants he requested that the former should place utmost focus on their academic and professional interests before other matters.
The talk was followed by an interactive question-answer session wherein the students asked several legal queries. Praising the students’ inquiries on legal matters he instructed them to familiarize themselves with the Pakistan Penal Code, Manual of Family Laws and Civil Code of Procedures.
MIUC students also observed live judicial proceedings in the court room number 1, which was headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The Rector of Metropolitan International University College, Walid Mushtaq briefs his students on the fact that with intense competition for places, it is vital for MIUC students to demonstrate a long-term commitment to a career in law, which can be shown through work experience. Rector Walid Mushtaq often interacts with so that they can acquire work experience in a legal environment to evidence their interest, enthusiasm and motivation for pursuing a legal career.
