OKARA: As many as 20 seats out of total 50 were won by the PML-N candidates in the Municipal Committee Okara during the local government elections here. LALAMUSA: The PML-N candidates won more than 70 per cent seats after defeating PML-Q and PPP candidates in Gujrat district during the Local Government elections here. The PTI candidates won 18 seats while independent candidates bagged 16 seats in the polls. According to the results of Municipal Committee, Lalamusa, PPP (Kaira Group) grabbed 13 seats while PTI secured five seats, PML-N three seats, independent candidates bagged two seats and PAT could win only one seat. Former Kharian tehsil nazim Ch Nadeem Asghar Kaira is the expected chairman of the Municipal Committee, Lalamusa. Some PML-N local leaders contested as independent candidates and five candidate having support of PML-N MNA Ch Jafar Iqbal and five candidates supported by PML-N MPA Mian Tariq Mehmood bagged five seats in the Municipal Committee Dinga. The PTI candidates won seven seats and PML-N four in Kharian. Total 12 PML-N candidates won seats while PML-Q candidates bagged eight and independent candidates three seats in Jalalpur Jattan. NANKANA SAHIB: As many as 40 independent candidates won their sets out of total 65 seats during the Local Government elections here. According to unofficial results, as many as 15 candidates of PML-N won seats while the PTI candidates grabbed nine seats in the polls. According to the details of four municipal committees of Nankana, total seats in Nankana city were 30 in which PML-N candidates won 14, PTI five, PPP one and 10 independent candidates won the polls. Likewise, PML-N candidates won 15 seats in Sangla Hill while independent candidates secured 12 seats. Similarly, PML-N candidates won 13 seats while PTI and independent candidates won two seats each in Warburton while PML-N candidates bagged 15 seats, PTI five and independent one in the LG polls in Shahkot. PHOOLNAGAR: The PML-N candidates secured 12 seats out of total 18 in the Municipal Committee Phoolnagar during the LG polls. According to unofficial results, the PTI candidates bagged five seats while two independent candidates also won the seats.
