Four people, including an Afghan national, were gunned down in separate incidents in the city on Saturday.
Late on Saturday night, gunmen shot and wounded Mohammed Azizullah, 32, near the Iqra City Complex in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jawed Jiskani of District East said a police mobile attended the crime scene and too the injured to the Darul Sehat Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Azizullah was a resident of the Iqra City Complex. The man was sitting at a tea hotel where two gunmen came on a motorcycle, and after confirming his identity, killed him and fled. SSP Jiskani said the man had suffered four bullet wounds to his upper torso.
He said one of the attackers, Ali, had been arrested while the other, Faraz, was still at large.
The official said the attackers were activists of a political party. he added that the victim’s wife had claimed he was not affiliated with any political group.

Afghan national killed
Abdullah Ghafoor, 22, was shot dead near the Maymar Complex in Machhar Colony.
After being called to the scene, Sohrab Goth police moved the victim to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
On Saturday morning, a gunman riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle opened fire at him after he had left home for some work. The victim was hit in the upper torso by four bullets.
Police said the man was an Afghan national and had recently come to Karachi for medical treatment. He was reportedly staying at his relative’s home.

Murder in Orangi
In Orangi Town, Hazoor Bux, 30, was killed in a gun attack near the Data Nagar area.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gulshan Jonejo claimed the man was a member of the Lyari gang war. He added that he was a resident of the Orangi Town No8 and had returned to home after attending a court hearing. He then received a call from unknown persons, asking him to come outside the house.
As Bux came

stepped outside, gunmen shot him dead and ran away. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem, where doctors said the deceased had suffered bullet wounds to the head and the chest.

Man murdered
Atif, 25, was shot and injured outside a shop in Korangi No3 ½ on Saturday night.
SSP Tanveer Odho of District Korangi said Atif was a resident of Surjani Town area and was shot dead by two gunmen riding a motorcycle. He was taken to the JPMC where he died. The deceased was working in garment factory.
