HAFIZABAD: Former Punjab governor and PTI Chief Organiser Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that his party will give tough time to the PML-N candidates despite having support of government machinery to them in the Local Government polls today.
Talking to journalists before addressing a gathering at Fawara Chowk here on Friday, Ch Sarwar said that the Punjab government had introduced Gullu Butt culture and police and ROs were allegedly intimidating the PTI candidates and implicating them in false cases. He warned the administration to refrain from such tactics otherwise they would be accountable when the PTI would come into power. He said that the majority of the masses was disappointed due to corruption and bad governance of the PML-N government and claimed that the people were fully supporting the PTI. He said that the PTI did not believe in status quo and would end exploitation and provide justice to the masses when it would come into power. Replying to a question regarding divorce of Reham Khan, he said that was a personal matter between Imran Khan and Reham Khan and this was a difficult time for both of them. He, however, asked the media to refrain from meddling in their personal matters. Later, while addressing a gathering at Vaneki Chowk, Ch Sarwar asked the local administration to withdraw fake cases registered against the PTI workers otherwise the PTI would start demonstrations against the administration. He said that the PTI would foil all attempts of the PML-N to rig the Local Government polls. Former MNA Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti, ex-provincial minister Ch Shaukat Ali Bhatti and Amanullah Sindhu also spoke.
