RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority Friday took a step towards environmental protection of the garrison city. The authority would launch a Miyawaki method project at Rialto Park on Murree Road near Mareer Chowk.
He also said that the country’s ideology was under attack but the followers of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal should foil all these conspiracies. The TNFJ chief also said that Pakistan, Iran and Iraq should solve the problems of Shia pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the Imamia Jirga Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reviewed the arrangements being made to observe the Muharram. A press release said a meeting of the Muharram Committee of the jirga was held at the residence of Mir Ghulam Murtaza Karbalai.
The participants were informed that Ashura would be observed with reverence as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the government to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. The mourning processions would be taken out as per the SOPs.
