Two killed as car falls into ravine

MINGORA: Two persons, including a minor, were killed and two others sustained injuries when a car plunged into ravine in Barikot in Swat district on Sunday, police said.They said a speedy-car bearing number (NSP-189) was on its way when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle plunged into a gorge in Karakar area in Barikot tehsil.
As a result, the police said two persons indentified as Abbas and a minor Mahnoor were killed on the spot while two others Idrees and Habiba sustained injuries. The injured were taken to the Saidu Sharif Hospital for medical provision while the police lodged the case of incident.
Meanwhile, a man was shot and injured by unidentified armed men in Peuchar area in Matta tehsil, sources said.They said Sher Bahadur was on his way home when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him, injuring him.
