KARACHI: Aqeel Khan eased into the second round of 30th Federal Cup Ranking tennis championships 2015 when he beat Irfanullah in straight sets at Syed Dilawar Abbas PTF tennis complex in Islamabad. KARACHI: Aqeel Khan eased into the second round of 30th Federal Cup Ranking tennis championships 2015 when he beat Irfanullah in straight sets at Syed Dilawar Abbas PTF tennis complex in Islamabad.
Karachi-based Aqeel faced little resistance from Peshawar’s Irfanullah and recorded a convincing 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Qualifier Babar Ali Akbar beat Malik Abdul Rehman 6-3, 6-2.
Third seed Muhammad Abid eliminated Barkatullah of Peshawar without conceding a single game in both sets. Veteran Israr Gul defeated Ejaz Khan in a thrilling two set match by 7-6, 7-5.
