Four traffic cops suspended for torturing motorcyclist

NOWSHERA: The district police officer (DPO) on Monday suspended and ordered an inquiry against four cops of traffic police for allegedly torturing and injuring a motorcyclist near Nowshera Cantonment, police sources said.
It was learnt that the traffic police stopped two motorcyclists Malik Rafaqat and Sheraz and directed them to show the documents of the bike. They said the traffic cops beat up the motorcyclists after exchanging harsh words with Malik Rafaqat.
The injured was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital. They said that taking notice of the incident, DPO Rab Nawaz Khan suspended the four cops, including Ticketing Officer Sanaullah, sepoy Saeed and Farooq Khan and Sheraz.
The DPO ordered investigation and appointed District Superintendent of Police Nowshera Cant Nazir Khan as an inquiry officer.
