MULTAN: The Punjab government has provided android mobile phones to dengue combat teams to monitor their performance on daily basis.
It was said by DCO Zahid Salim Gondal while addressing a meeting to review dengue arrangements here on Friday. The DCO said that the Punjab government had also directed the Special Branch personnel for keeping vigilance and monitoring on the performance of the Health Department. The field workers would be removed from jobs on failing to perform, the DCO warned. He ordered sealing of properties and registration of criminal cases against their owners in case of detecting dengue larva. He said that dengue information counters had been established in all hospitals to admit dengue patients after dengue tests. He said that a request had been sent to the Punjab government to establish dengue test laboratory in Multan. The DCO said that more than 2,000 tyres had been destroyed in three days during an operation against dengue larva. He said all the town administrations had been ordered to check graveyards and other sites to destroy dengue larva.
