MARDAN: The police claimed to have killed a local commander of the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) though his accomplices managed to flee after exchange of fire with the cops in Gujrat village Thursday night.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad said that cops from the Rustam Police Station were patrolling Gujrat on the Daggar Road when militant commander Idadullah alias Farooq Alam along with his two accomplices opened fire on the police.
