PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved 51 development projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A handout issued here Thursday stated that the approval was given during a meeting of the PDWP held with Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr Hammad Owais Agha in the chair. The meeting was attended by its members, Syed Zafar Ali Shah Secretary P&DD and respective administrative secretaries. The forum considered 58 projects pertaining to Agriculture, Health, Local Government, Irrigation, Information, Mines & Minerals, ST & IT, Elementary & Secondary Education, Higher Education and Sports & Tourism Departments for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 51 projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 15196.008 million. Six projects were deferred due to inadequate project designs and one project is withdrawn.
