The collective marriage ceremony of orphan and deserving girls were held at a local club on Wednesday.
A sum of Rs.2.8 million were spent on this ceremony of 48 Muslim and two non-Muslim girls. Respected guest acknowledged the welfare services of the Jazba Foundation. He said the Jazba Foundation had always served the humanity at the time of distress.
They have timely provided food to the hungry, provided funds to the skilled to start business at small scales and always helped arrange the marriage of deserving and orphans girls.
The ceremony was attended by Ramzan Sheikh, Chief Executive of the of the local club, Pervaiz Qureshi, Director of the local club, Lt. Gen (Retd) Khalid Maqbool, former Governor of Punjab, President of the foundation , Mian Idrees, Chief Executive of a soap company, Mian Haneef, CEO of a buiness group, Iqbal Z Ahmad along with Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani, Secretary Zakat-o-Ushar, Punjab Government and Muhammad Yussaf Butt, Administrator Zakat. Joint Secretary Jazba Foundation Waryyam Iqbal told the media that the Jazba Foundation intended to arrange 150 -100 more marriages in the coming months and it also intended to arrange marriages in other cities as well to serve more deserving people.
