PESHAWAR: A resident of Sheikh Jana village in Swabi district has appealed to chief minister and inspector general of police (IGP) to take notice of local police’s injustices with him and provide him justice.
Addressing a news conference, Hamza Ahmad, son of Ali Zar Khan, said that he was a law-abiding college student but the police arrested him when he was playing along with his colleagues on September 20 and accused him of possessing hashish.
Hamza said a fake first information report (FIR) was registered and he was put behind bars for 11 days, adding he could not even think of committing such an immoral act.
The registration of a fake FIR and keeping him behind bars for 11 days had destroyed his career, he added.
He asked the chief minister and IGP to take action against the concerned police official posted in Kalu Khan area and provide him justice.
