KARACHI: Ahmad Ali Khan lost to an Indian boxer in the first round of the 6th CISM Military World Games in Mungyeong, Korea, on Monday.
Ahmad was beaten by Narender Berwal of India 1:2. The score was 18-20, 19-19, 19-19.
In sailing, Mohammad Akram (skipper) and Khalid Hussain (crew) scored 47 points after six races. They scored 11 points in the fourth race, six in the fifth, and nine in the sixth.
The recorded 36 points in the 2000-open two-person dinghy category.
In the track and field event, Liaquat Ali failed to impress again as he achieved the timing of 11.02 seconds in the semi-finals of men’s 100 metre category race.
In the first round of men’ 110 metre hurdles race, Mohammad Sajjad recorded 14.69 seconds, failing to qualify for the next round.
In the final of men’s 100 metre para event, Noor Shad Ali recorded 14.93 seconds.
In archery, Sajjad Ahmed got bye in the first round of re-curve men’s individual (disabled) category.
He will face Paul Gomers of Netherlands in the second round.
