FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is celebrating World Space Week from October 5 to 7 to raise awareness about universe particularly space and planets.
The event is arranged by UAF in collaboration with SUPARCO in which UAF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan will chair the inaugural session at 9am at Iqbal Auditorium. The students will exhibit skits and performances to highlight the importance of space and pledges to save our country from man-made disaster.
An awareness walk would be held from Iqbal Auditorium to University D Ground. Cycling contest for girls and water rocket completion will also be held in which more than 80 schools are taking part.
On October 6, Chukball match would be arranged for girls at Laboratory Girls School and space model competition will be held among the schools of Faisalabad. Declamation contest and Quiz competition under the banner of Office of the Senior Tutor would be arranged. On October 7, concluding and prize distribution ceremony will be arranged.
