Siraj concerned over rift in Muslim states

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has expressed serious concern over the Muslim states internal conflicts and said the differences are because of the conspiracies of world colonialists. Muslim world is being divided, as the tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran is becoming destructive for the Muslim world, he said while addressing the opening session of a three-day meeting of JI Shoora at Mansoora Friday.
Sirajul Haq urged the Muslim states not to fight among themselves but fight for the liberation of Palestine and Kashmir and against poverty, ignorance and unemployment. He said if Turkey and Pakistan joined hands, they could help in resolving the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
He said if government stepped forward for the solution of the problems of the Ummah, JI would not feel shy of praising it or extending its cooperation to the rulers. He said the bold stance taken by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif on the Kashmir issue had given a new hope to the nation. He said if the prime minister succeeded in bringing Dr Aafia Siddiqui with him on return from US, the nation would be highly indebted to him. He said the prime minister should have addressed the UN General Assembly in his national language Urdu like the other heads of state as this would have raised the image of the country and the nation.
He urged the PML-N and the PTI not to make the by-elections a matter of ego. He said the number of banners put up on both sides in the constituency indicated that the two sides had crossed the ceiling of the permissible expenditure.
He reiterated that JI wanted Islamic democracy in the country which would help to solve all social, political and economic problems being faced by the masses. To a question regarding the by-election in NA-122, he said the leaderships of PTI and PML-N had approached the JI for support, adding that JI had authorised its local unit to decide the issue on its own. He, however,

said that a by-election could not be given importance like the general elections.
Meanwhile, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, while addressing the members of party’s central election committee said JI had started preparation of its manifesto for the 2018 general elections. He said JI believed in change of the system and leadership through religious motivation, democratic struggle and public support. He said the manifesto reflected the vision of a party.
He said that unfortunately, the parties coming into power through vote had not honoured their commitments made in their election manifesto due to which the democratic system and the parliament had always been facing crises.
Baloch said the JI was the only party that could come up to the expectations of the people.
