This refers to the letter, ‘Eating donkeys’ (September 28) by Dr Irfan Zafar. I want to place on record the great – and now largely forgotten – role played by this much-maligned animal in the construction of Islamabad.
Hardly anybody praises the donkey for its impressive and persistent hard work. In my dictionary the opposite of hard work is corruption.
