MULTAN: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started investigation against DG Khan Agriculture Engineer Abdul Malik Khan on the charge of corruption and summoned the complainant along with documentary evidence at the NAB Multan Region office on Oct 2.
National Labour Alliance chairman Ghazi Ahmed Hassan lodged his complaint with the NAB Multan Region stating that Agriculture Engineer Abdul Malik Khan was posted in Dera Ghazi Khan but he did not attend his office regularly. He said that the accused attended his office only four days in May but he claimed 22 days visit expenses on his government vehicle FDL-4939 and received thousands of rupees travelling allowance in that month. The complainant levelled nine corruption charges against the agriculture engineer including financial corruption and theft of valuable spare parts.

MUZAFFARGARH: District Police Officer (DPO) Awais Ahmed Malik Wednesday lauded performance of policemen. Talking to reporters after returning booty to owners, he said policemen have set good traditions buy returning booty to owners. The DPO said the Jatoi police registered a dacoity case on the complaint of Muhammad Hussain and arrested dacoit Muhammad Imran Gopang and recovered Rs 50,000 from him. The police registered another case on the complaint of Shabbir Ahmed Rehmani and arrested proclaimed offender Shah Nawaz and recovered Rs 65,000 from him. The police arrested another accused Shah Nawaz and recovered Rs 400,000 from his possession.
