Accused jail warden escapes from court

KASUR: A jail chief warden accused of torturing to death a youth in jail Wednesday escaped from the court when his bail was rejected.
Six months back, B-division police arrested Haider Ali, 18, on the charges of drug pushing. Later, Ali died of torture in jail and the police registered a case against three jail staffers including main accused chief warden Rana Muhammad Yusuf.
Yousaf got interim bail.
On Wednesday, Additional District and Sessions Judge Rai Muhammad Nawaz Marth cancelled bail of Yousuf and he ran away.
RANGERS DSP CAR STOLEN: Thieves Wednesday stole car of a Rangers DSP.
The DSP parked his car (CR-2025) near Changa Manga park in the limits of Changa Manga police.
In a separate incident, thieves took away a truck owned by Sharafat Ali from Taj filling station on Multan road in the limits of Phoolnagar police.
