Rebuilding roads

Work to rebuild/refurbish the road that leads towards Raiwind from Thokar Niaz Baig was started almost one-and-a-half-year ago but it has not been completed yet. This is creating difficulties for people, especially those who travel on this route daily.
The carelessness of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has compounded their problems. The authority has failed to put up diversion signboards. The other issue is that people come across new road barriers and obstacles every other day. Due to reconstruction work, traffic is diverted on to a single, narrow road creating two opposite lanes of vehicles that causes chaos. Heavy construction machinery has been lying in the middle of the road – leading to accidents and traffic jam. There is a need to complete the work as early as possible.
