30 illegal structures demolished in Jalalpur
MULTAN: AC Ghulam Sarwar Tuesday demolished 30 illegally built structures on the site of an industrial park at Jalalpur Pirwala tehsil.
Those who had built rooms adjacent to illegal structure and were using it as residence have been issued a warning to vacate, says an official release.
It may be noted that a vast area in Jalalpur Pirwala has been allocated for the development of an industrial park. The AC warned that heavy machinery would be employed to demolish the remaining structures if people failed to demolish the illegal structures and vacate the premises voluntarily.
Meanwhile, during shops inspection, the AC imposed Rs 51,500 fine on 28 shopkeepers on charge of profiteering.
Authorities asked not assign irrelevant work to IT teachers: School Education Department directed Chief Executive officers (CEOs) DEA not to give irrelevant assignments to Information Technology (IT) or Computer teachers on Tuesday.
In a letter forwarded to all CEO of District Education Authority (DEA) across the province, the school education department instructed that IT teachers should not be given any irrelevant assignment like data entry or clerical work.
The prime duty of an IT or Computer teacher is to impart education to students, the letter said, adding that such instructions are not being followed in letter and spirit which is not tolerable.
It is, once again, directed that no irrelevant task other than teaching be assigned to IT teachers, concluded the letter.
It merits mentioning here that govt schools teachers have been complaining against irrelevant assignments given to them time and again in the past.
