CHITRAL: The police arrested 12 drug-peddlers and seized drugs and liquor from their possession in crackdown launched in the district on Tuesday, sources said.
The sources said that following the directives by the District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat, the police launched crackdown against the anti-social elements and narcotics in various parts of the district and arrested 12 drug-peddlers and seized 3.1 kilogram chars, 28 litres liquor and 19 gram heroin.
Some of the accused included Dinar Khan, Ibrahim Khan, Sardar Ayub, Nabiul Haq, Muhammad Zubair, Jalaluddin, Shadabur Rahman, Mirajuddin, Safiullah, Ahmad Ali Shah and Ibrar Khan.
The DPO made it clear that the crackdown against the anti-social elements would continue and asked the people to cooperate with the police.
