ISLAMABAD: The number of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials contracting COVID-19 is on the rise as now 14 officials belonging to the Regional Taxpayer Office (RTO) Quetta have been found positive with the virus. Earlier, a female official from Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) Islamabad was found COVID-19 positive as she was already admitted into hospital. Now that the number of infected officials has reached 14, the working staff are very concerned about their safety. The FBR had given instructions to its field formations to ensure that the whole workforce remains present in the office during the duty hours. Instructions were also issued to disinfect the premises but social distancing and all other pre-cautionary measures were not being fully complied due to which the RTO Quetta had become the major victim in terms of spreading of the virus among the employees.
