IGP inspects anti-Covid-19 measures in Chitral

CHITRAL: Inspector General of Police Sanaullah Abbasi on Sunday visited Chitral where he inspected the police security duty at the quarantine centre and presided over a cops meeting.

A smart contingent of the police presented a guard of honours to the IGP as he arrived at the Chitral Police Line. After the salute, the IGP went to a Quarantine Centre in the Chitral city. He met the police officials deployed for duty there.

The police chief asked them about the nature of their duty, problems and difficulties. Sanaullah Abbasi expressed satisfaction at the protective measures adopted by the police as per the government instructions for the Covid-19. He praised the cops for serving the nation in a dedicated manner.

Later, the IGP presided over a meeting of police officers. He received a briefing on the number of Quarantine Centres in Chitral and police deployment. He was informed about the steps taken for the maintenance of the law and order.

The KP police chief termed the police measures satisfactory and directed the officials to intensify efforts for implementation of government directives against Covid-19 and ensure fool-proof security during Ramazan. The IGP distributed cash prizes and commendation certificates amongst the police jawans for excelling in duty on different occasions.
