The Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) police on Thursday claimed to have busted a two-member gang of motorcycle thieves during a raid in Liaquatabad.
According to an AVLC spokesperson, Asif Khan alias Lal Baal, son of Sultan, and Shujaat Ali alias Mamu, son of Farasat Ali, were habitual motorcycle thieves and drug addicts. The two allegedly sold the stolen motorcycles to scrap dealers.
The police recovered two stolen motorcycles from their possession. The suspects had been arrested for the first time by the AVLC; hence, there was no earlier record of the two, the spokesperson added.
