Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society Merged Areas Headquarters, Asif Khan Mehsud, has lauded the services of the Shahid Afridi Foundation for extending a helping hand to the poor and needy people during the prevailing coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown in the country.
Talking to media persons here, he said that the foundation had distributed 1,000 food packages among the deserving families of South Waziristan during the current lockdown.
He said that the food packages were also given to the needy tribesmen in Tank district.
The PRCS chief for Merged Areas said that the people, who had rendered jobless due to lockdown, were provided with food packages worth Rs3 million.
Sharing his future plan of action, he informed that the PRCS like the past would also initiate its welfare activities in merged areas by extending its full patronage to people in terms of food and non-food items.
