GHALLANAI: The residents of Safi tehsil on Thursday staged a protest rally against the alleged police highhandedness during the protest sit-in for the solution of boundary dispute between Mohmand and Bajaur districts recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Khan, Malik Anwar Shah, Mir Afzal Mohmand and others said that the jirga constituted for the settlement of boundary dispute should resolve the issue once and for all or else they would again block the Bajaur-Peshawar road for traffic for an indefinite period.
Chanting slogans against the district police, the participants of the rally demanded the government to transfer the officials who had committed ‘excesses’ against peaceful protestors at Sagi Chowk recently.
