8 outlaws arrested during crackdown

Islamabad : The Islamabad police has arrested eight outlaws from different areas of the city, also reunited a missing boy with parents, a police spokesman said.

Hafiz Muhammad Suleman, resident of Panjgran Islamabad, informed Shahzad Town Police Station that his 12-year old son Muhammad Alian had been missing and could not be traced despite hectic efforts by family members. Following this information, SP (Rural) Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted special team under supervision of DSP Sardar Mustafa to trace the missing boy. This team including SHO Shahzad Town police station Inspector Hakim Khan Niazi searched various under-construction buildings, houses and garbage heaps. Various people were inquired about the missing boy and finally police team succeeded to recover him safely. He was reunited with his parents who thanked police team over safe recovery of the boy. Meanwhile, SHO Khanna police station Sub-Inspector Mirza Muhammad Gulfraz, along with team apprehended two drug peddlers namely Ameer Subhani and Muhammad Idrees and recovered 220 gram heroine from their possession.

Industrial-Area police arrested an accused Asif Masih and recovered 120 gram hashish while two accused namely Ansar Ali and Saadat Ali involved in threatening a citizen. Margalla police has arrested liquor seller namely Mustafa Baig and recovered one bottle wine from him. Golra police arrested two afghan national accused Abid and Hidat-Ullah living in Pakistan illegally. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further legal proceeding is underway against them.

During special checking in the whole city, police nabbed four proclaimed offenders.

DIG (Operations) Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.

He said that Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.
