KARACHI: Facebook Pakistan has said that it was using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect and remove misleading information related to COVID-19 news in Pakistan, a statement said on Wednesday.
In this regard, Sarim Aziz, an official of Facebook Pakistan held an online information session with a group of journalists.
Organisers said they had removed a large number of misleading information pages from Facebook and had tried to approve only correct information and that information which had no negative impact on others.
Similar steps were also taken to personalize Whatsapp application, where number of forwarding messages was contracted to one in case original message was forwarded for more than four times.
They said that Facebook even disallowed advertises that could lead to sale of non-genuine products related to safeguarding from COVID-19 that include sanitizers and masks.
