MIANWALI: Deputy Commissioner Mianwali Omar Sher Chattah said tests of 310 people were conducted and 20 tested positive for the virus so far in Miamwali district.The DC said out of 20 coronavirus patients five were sent back to homes and no person tested positive for the virus after April 14.
Briefing a meeting attended by Station Commander Sargodha Nazir Hussain, Brigadier Ahsan, DPO Hassan Asad Alvi, ADCR Arjumand Zia, Lieutenant Muhammad Idrees and others at DC office, the DC said 13 coronavirus patients belonged to Tehsil Esa Khel, six to Mainwali and one to Tehsil Piplan.
The DC told the meeting about quarantined people of Tablighi Jamaat and their test reports, daily services, mobile filter clinics, PPE kits stock, violation of section 144, action against violators of SOPs, Mianwali Local Relief Fund and other issues.
The Army officers appreciated the steps taken by the district administration and expressed satisfaction over the exemplary transparent distribution of financial funds and food hampers among the deserving and daily wagers affected due to lockdown and coronavirus.
Briefing about the wheat purchase drive the district food controller Muhammad Rafique said the process of delivering gunny bags to the farmers has been started adding that for getting wheat purchase target and preventing the transportation to KP from the district 7 check posts have been set up in the district.
Two murdered in separate incidents: Two people, including a woman, were murdered in separate incidents of business affairs and marriage dispute in Piplan and Wan Bhachran police limits on Tuesday.
According to police sources, Haroon Manjh, 25, of village 215/JB Tehsil Piplan wanted to marry with his cousin Hira Manjh but her parents refused the proposal.
On the day of incident, Haroon entered her house and cut her throat.
In another incident, accused Amjad and his accomplices allegedly shot dead Haji Khaliqdad of village Subewala Tehsil Wan Bhachran over a business dispute.
