HAFIZABAD: Police on Tuesday booked a sub-inspector and his eight accomplices for allegedly attacking the Dera of the assistant superintendent of the sessions court at Gajjar Gola and injured him and his father.
Reportedly, Jamshaid Abbas, SI of Mughalpura police Lahore, and his father Ghulam Abbas had a minor dispute with Ziaullah, assistant superintendent of the sessions court and his father Abdul Rashid.
On the day of the incident, SI Jamsahid Abbas along with his eight accomplices, including Zohaib Abbas, Zain Iqbal, Waqas, Salman and Muhammad Tarar, with the connivance of Ghulam Abbas allegedly attacked the Dera of Ziaullah and allegedly injured Ziaullah and his father Abdul Rashid.
The police have started investigation.
PASSCO TO PROCURE 2.2M WHEAT FROM GROWERS: The Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO) will procure 2.2 million of wheat from the growers of the district this year.
The Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation had announced 19 procurement centres, including Hafizabad, Iqbal Nagar, Madina Sugar Mills, Boorianwal, Kaleke Mandi, Sawanpura, Pindi Bawray, Ramke Chatha, Jalalpur Bhattian, Tahli Goraya, Fatehpur, Pindi Bhattian, Machho Nakka, Tibba Shah Behlool, Sukheke Mandi, Kot Sarwar, Bhophrra, Vanike Tarar and Dheranke Lalke.
The deputy commissioner had deputed the Revenue Department officials and others to ensure provision of gunny bags to the growers.
COMMITS SUICIDE: A married woman committed suicide at Sukheke on Tuesday.
The daughter of Riasat Ali ended her life by strangling herself. Sukheke police have taken the dead body in custody and shifted it to a hospital for postmortem. The police have started investigation.
