Rawalpindi :As many as seven new suspects of coronavirus were tested positive in Cohort Quarantine centre in Murree taking the total coronavirus positive cases in the town to 10.
The index case from whom the Coronavirus spread in the resort town was a security guard at a local hotel in Murree. Earlier, local community and hotel owners had strictly opposed the decision of the authorities to transform the hotels in the resort city of Murree as Quarantine centres for expatriate Pakistanis coming to Pakistan from abroad.
Five held: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested five persons involved in incidents of dacoity, house burglary and recovered gold ornaments, valuables and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, DIG (Operations) Waqar-Ud-Din Syed directed all zonal officers to ensure crackdown against criminals and accelerate their efforts to curb crime in the city. Following these directions, SP (investigation) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted special team under supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspector Tariq Rauf, ASIs Fawad Khalid, Zulfqar Ali, Aamir Hayat, Mohisn Ali, Irfan -Ullah along with other officials which successfully arrested five accused including tow POs.
They have been identified as Aslam, residentof District Okara, Ghulam Mustafa resident of district Okara, Noman Naseem resident of resident or Tarmary Islamabad, , Muhammad Akram resident of District Sargodha, and Imatiz Khan resident of sector F-11/1 Islamabad.
Police team also recovered gold ornaments, wrist watches, mobile phones, valuables and weapons from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of burglaries in various areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Separate cases have been registered in Shalimar, Industrial-Area, Koral, Karachi Company police stations against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
