The paramilitary force with the collaboration of the Counter Terrorism Department of Sindh have arrested two alleged terrorists on charges of being involved in a number of target killings and attacks upon law enforcers.
The Sindh government had announced a bounty of Rs5 million upon them.
The spokesman for the Sindh Rangers said soldiers conducted an intelligence-based raid with the collaboration of the CTD Sindh on the the outskirt of the city, and after facing resistance arrested two terrorists of a banned outfit who were identified as Samiullah alias Arshad and Muhammad Jaffar alias Barkat alias Iftekhar. On the pointation of arrested men, they also seized weapons from their possession.
Investigations revealed that the terrorists were working jointly with other banned outfit terrorists Ataur Rehman alias Naeem Bukhari, Abdullah Danish, Naeem alias Master, Asim Capri, Ishaq Bobi and Sabir alias Bahijan, and remained involved in attacks on Pakistan Army, navy, Rangers, police personnel as well as in sectarian and target killings. Moreover, the mastermind Ataur Rehman and Sabir had already been arrested by LEAs and were under trail.
Samiullah and Muhammad Jaffar’s names were also mentioned in the most wanted list and the government of Sindh also announced a bounty of Rs5 million for their arrests.
Samiullah alias Arshad
The accused is involved in targeting four Rangers troops in Baldia Town during the year 2015. He also targeted policemen in 2014 and 2015.
In 2015 he targeted navy personnel Syed Jaffar Raza Shah and in 2014-15 he was involved in the target killing of ANP local leaders Dr Ziauddin and Haji Saifullah Afridi.
Jaffar alias Barkat
The arrested accused on the orders of notorious arrested terrorist Sabir alias Bahijan had targeted 13 policemen, seven people under sectarian violence and five people on ethnic grounds in District West areas.
On April 9, 2015 the accused along with terrorist Samiullah and Abdullah had targeted Syed Jaffar Raza Shah, an official of the Pakistan Navy, in Baldia Town.
The accused had targeted four Ahmediya community members in 2013. The accused had also targeted Hassan Abbas, a member of the Shia community in 2013 and was also remained involved in murders and dacoity cases.
The arrested men were later handed over to local police for further legal action.
