Financial aid programme very transparent, says CM Usman Buzdar
LAHORE:Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Monday that financial aid programme by the government was very transparent.
In a press statement, he said that coronavirus pandemic had affected everyday life in the whole world, including Pakistan and daily wagers were facing difficulties due to lockdown. He emphasised that provision of relief to vulnerable strata was the priority of the PTI government.
The financial aid programme has been started under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan was the first country among the developing nations which had provided such support.

In a statement, issued here Monday, the CM paid tribute to the great sacrifices of Maj Umer and Lt Faizan and extended sympathies to their families. He also prayed that may Almighty Allah grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the losses with equanimity.a
Sikh community: Usman Buzdar has extended felicitations to Sikh community on Khalsa Janam Din Vaisakhi. In a statement issued here Monday, he said that the festival of Vaisakhi is being celebrated with simplicity due to the coronavirus pandemic. This pandemic has, altogether, changed the whole world. Therefore, the adoption of necessary precautionary measures is everybody's moral duty as saving the lives of the people is the government’s priority. It is the need of the hour that this festival should be celebrated while maintaining social distancing, he added. He said that observing social distancing by the Sikh community, on the festival of Vaisakhi, is praiseworthy and added that he is thankful for their cooperation. We fully share the joys and happiness of the Sikh community on the festival of Vaisakhi and support to the families, affected by the coronavirus, will further rejuvenate the joys of Vaisakhi, concluded the CM.
Indian firing: Usman Buzdar has condemned unprovoked shelling and firing of Indian army at civilian population along the Line of Control and expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the martyrdom of two-year-old Muhammad Haseeb in Dhundial Sector.
He extended sympathies to the bereaved heirs and prayed for early recovery of the injured. Supremacist Modi regime is bent upon disturbing the regional peace when the whole world is facing the coronavirus pandemic, he deplored. India is blatantly violating international laws and human rights principles by targeting the civilian population and such nefarious acts of Indian occupied army are highly condemnable, the chief minister said.
