ABBOTTABAD: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and the Water and Sanitation Services Company carried out the disinfection operation at churches on the occasion of Easter to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The officials of the TMA and the sanitation company are striving hard to fight the Covid-19 along with the doctors and paramedics. The officials of both the line departments were also seen disinfecting streets, mosques, bazaars, churches and other public places in the Abbottabad city to help control the pandemic.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Marvi Malik Sher along with Tehsil Officer Regulation Mazhar Muzaffar Awan and Assistant Tehsil Officer Regulation Syed Kamran Ali Shah were also present. Bishop Zakir Paul extended gratitude to the officers and appreciated the work of TMA Abbottabad. Mazhar Muzaffar told The News that the TMA also helped to ensure the lockdown besides disinfecting the bazaars, mosques and other places in the city. He said they made announcements through loudspeakers to request the public to stay at home.
