PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Sunday asked the government to find out a solution to the boundary dispute between Bajaur and Mohmand districts.
In a statement, he said that the government should show urgency or else the situation could take an ugly turn and lead to bloodshed. Aftab Sherpao said that the issue must be resolved through talks and the point of view of both the parties should be heard and considered to solve this issue.
The government, he added, should take the local elders into confidence and take steps to find out a viable solution to this dispute. He also advised the residents of Bajaur and Mohmand districts to avoid staging protests at this critical juncture as it could spread the coronavirus. The QWP leader said that the people should practice social distancing and adopt the precautionary steps as per the guidelines of the World Health Organization and the health professionals. He alleged that the government was dragging its feet to resolve the dispute.
