3 developers of illegal housing colony booked
FAISALABAD: Three developers of an illegal housing colony were booked on the charge of violating rules and regulations of the department concerned.
A spokesman for the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) said on Saturday that under Local Government Ordinance 2001 and Development of Citizens Act 1976, all the housing scheme developers were bound to seek permission from the FDA before developing any residential scheme or starting constructions, but Tariq Mehmood, Sarfraz and Naveed developed an illegal house colony at Chak 243-RB without getting prior permission from the FDA.
Taking notice of this irregularity, FDA Town Planning Directorate teams headed by Deputy Director Town Planning Raheel Zafar sealed premises of the housing colony besides demolishing its office and boundary walls, digging up roads and sewerage lines there.
A Complaint was also forwarded to the police and the police started investigation after registration of cases against two developers of illegal housing scheme.

Assistant Commissioner Sadar Umar Maqbool was on routine visit at Chak 243-RB where he witnessed some persons who dubbed them employees of Tiger Force and were busy in getting private information from the people under the pretext of Ehsaas Programme. When AC interrogated them, they could no reply satisfactorily. Therefore, the AC Sadar caught accused Amanat Ali of Chak 543-GB Mangawala and Muhammad Amjad of Chak 28-JB while their accomplices managed to escape from the scene. The AC Sadar handed over the accused to area police who locked them behind bars and registered a case against.
